Sustainability
an exhibition of artworks by Friends' student members

The Friends of the Auckland Art Gallery initiated the Student Art Exhibition in 2003 and – together with the Pat Hanly Student Membership Awards which are held each August – the event is one of the highlights of the year for our student members. Every student member of the Friends gets a chance to participate in the annual exhibition and to display his or her work. All artworks are for sale with proceeds going directly to our student members and nine artworks were sold this year.
The exhibition's theme was "Sustainability" to link in the global discussion on how we use our resources, treat the environment and act responsibly to help preserve the planet for future generations.
The Friends currently have well over 80 student members and 17 of them have participated in this year’s exhibition.
