Six artists come together by default. Each exploring different conceptual fields, it is an exciting challenge to work in collaboration towards creating an exceptional viewing experience. The catalogue, similar in format to playing cards with a single artist’s information on one side and just the word ‘default’ on the other, plays with this idea of chance occurrence. Conversations run on the question of beauty, discovery of value in the unexpected, the human tendency to see things in relation to self, to list just a few. Default presents an impressive diversity of scale and colour palette and, by happy accident, there is an element of surprise in many of the works, promising a visually stimulating experience.
