JEANETTE SCHÄRING
Graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Gothenburg University, Sweden 2006, after a decade of art studies. She has recently moved to NZ and has already had exhibitions here and is currently working at Massey University in Wellington.
In some of her works, she is using plants, mould and micro-organisms for obtaining colours. These processes are very slow and the sporadic life activity of the organism’s influence colour and pattern, that echoes their life process.

GÖRAN JÖNSSON
JEWELLERY SCULPTURE
Silver-slate

For centuries, man has been using materials such as silver and slate to make beautiful things.
The ancient objective was to honor or influence the powers that one believed in.
And so, amulets were worn as a means to receive some of these powers.
My pieces of sculpted jewellry are a continuation of this long tradition.
