Gallery Two

Part 2 was an installation based on MAU dance theatre's 'Tempest'.

As you enter the gallery, reflections are caught in water pockets scattered across the polished floor, and the air is consumed with warm steam. 500 lit bulbs are suspended from the roof, correlating between a projection of steam captured directly below it. As you walk through the room your reflection is caught by a projection of droplets forming, and cast onto the adjacent wall. The sound of books being laid to rest on a shelf can be heard. An interesting relationship between time has taken place.

Part 2 provides a place of contemplation and thought, with the want to discuss our history's past. It brings to the forefront the ideas of fragility, displacement and the notion of Peter Sloterdjke's theory of the "Sphere".
