40years-videoart.de – Digital Heritage is an initiative of the German Federal Cultural Foundation that focuses on saving, maintaining, and mediating the cultural heritage of Video Art, which has become one of the most influential art forms of the twentieth century. In summer 2004 the initial selection of works was compiled: Part 1 which ST PAUL ST is proud to present with the support of the Goethe-Institut in Wellington.
40 years of Video Art is a panorama of fifty-nine historic but also current works ranging from 1963 up to present with artists such as Samuel Beckett, Joseph Beuys, Valie Export, Harun Farocki, Rebecca Horn, Marina Abramovic/Ulay, Nam June Paik, Rosemarie Trockel and many others.
