A series of Art and Design Postgraduate research events emerge through the week to celebrate the range and diversity of individual research projects happening in our school. The week culminates in the School’s Art and Design Postgraduate Research Conference (17-18 August, in WE240 Lecture Theatre and St Paul Street Galleries).
The event celebrates the School's breadth and depth of art and design research working across the levels of Masters (Thesis), Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy. The uniqueness of the conference comes across through bringing together a range of practice-led researchers, from our Postgraduate department, which in their singularity and discipline affiliation expand horizons for thinking art and design. This year our conference has been consolidated to a shorter (one and a half day) event through profiling a selection of projects from both on and off campus research candidates representing the variety of departments in our School.
Keynote speakers:
Dr Vicki Karaminas
Associate Professor in Fashion Studies
Associate Head of School, Design
(University of Technology, Sydney)
