Study-Internship at AUT - Outline of Programme

Programme

2 main stream papers (15 points each)

Internship paper (30 points)

You will spend 15 to 20 hours per week at your work placement, and will attend class sessions and complete academic assignments related to your work experiences.  A workplace supervisor and an academic supervisor will be assigned to you.

Work placements

AUT will begin the process of securing a placement for you on receipt of the placement fee. The placement fee is NZ$825 and is non refundable. We will inform you of your placement when you arrive in New Zealand, or earlier if possible.

Placements can be found in most fields, depending on your prior study and experience.
Placements are not available in nursing and physiotherapy.

Special entry requirements 

  • GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of 2 years of tertiary study by the commencement of the programme
  • Resume (curriculum vitae) outlining academic and employment history, key skills, interests and hobbies
  • A completed Statement of Purpose Form.
