Orientation for international students

Orientation is an essential part of your transition to tertiary study. AUT Orientation is a great way to familiarise yourself with the University and the services and facilities available to you, and develop the study skills to hit the ground running from Day 1. At Orientation you will meet your Student Ambassador who will show you around campus and be an ongoing point of contact throughout your first year. This is also a great time to meet other students - some of whom may become your friends for life.

As a new international student at AUT, you need to attend the following Orientation sessions (see below for more details on these):

  • Orientation for all new international students (International Orientation)
  • Orientation for all new students at AUT
  • If you are a Pasifika, Chinese-speaking or Māori student, you also need to attend the relevant AUT 102 Workshop
