Orientation for international students

Orientation is an essential part of your transition to tertiary study. AUT Orientation is a great way to familiarise yourself with the University and the services and facilities available to you and to develop the study skills to hit the ground running from Day 1.

Orientation is full of activities and workshops, designed especially for new students.

We expect all students to attend the International Orientation and Academic Orientation, whether you're new to the university or new to your programme.

There is also compulsory Accommodation Orientation for international students living at Akoranga Student Village or Wellesley Student Apartments.

Orientation occurs from mid to late February with dates as follows:

  • International Students: Thursday 18 February - Friday 26 February 2016
