Hosting delegations and visitors

The Chinese Centre provides assistance and support to the Office of International Relations and Development in organising and receiving visitors to AUT, in particular, visitors from China. Every year, the Chinese Centre hosts more than 30 groups of Chinese visitors to AUT.

Liaising with the Chinese world

The Chinese Centre helps the Office of International Relations and Development liaising with the organisations of the Chinese government, AUT’s partner universities in China and the Chinese community in New Zealand. The Centre also contributes to establishing AUT’s links with the Chinese world thereby enhancing AUT’s local and global profile.

The Centre works with the Office of International Relations and Development to hold public seminars and movie nights to enhance relations and understanding about various aspects of Chinese culture, and social, political and economic development.
