AUT - Akoranga student village

This page has the 2013 schedule of fees for new students living in AUT's Akoranga student village. The fees stated are for a full year's accommodation - but you can stay for 1 semester (half the academic year). Current residents will receive information regarding the Returning Residents’ rates directly from AUT Accommodation.

Style of accommodation and accessibility

Akoranga Student Village offers convenient and fully furnished townhouse-style living in 5 or 6 bedroom apartments, with 2 bathrooms and a living area and kitchen.

We have some apartments which are accessible for students who use a wheelchair.

Any rates advertised are subject to change and are confirmed at the time of signing a contract for accommodation.

The advance payment option - refers to credit card. Please note that Visa and Mastercard are the only credit cards that we accept if you choose this option.

Fees for a room

Advance payment full year (38 weeks): $8540.00
Advance payment one semester (18 weeks): $4270.00
Instalment payment full year (38 weeks): $8835.00
Instalment payment one semester (18 weeks): $4410.00

Note: the fees for 1 semester will be 50% of the full-year total for an 18-week contract.

Additional fees

These costs are to be paid in full, in advance of occupancy.

• A one off application fee of $155 (non refundable)
• An events/activities fee of $120 ($60 per semester)
• A bond of $400 (refundable)
• Changes to contract fee of $110 (if applicable, non refundable)
• Linen and bedding (optional) fee of $125
• Car parking (optional) fee of $170 per semester

Note: Water and electricity costs are included in your accommodation contract.
