This page has the 2012 schedule of fees for living in AUT's Akoranga student village. The fees stated are for a full year's accommodation - but you can stay for 1 semester (half the academic year).

Style of accommodation and accessibility

We offer flatting style city accommodation in a safe, supportive and modern environment. Wellesley Student Apartments feature group living with each fully furnished apartment having 4 or 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living area and kitchen.

We have some apartments which are accessible for students who use a wheelchair.

Any rates advertised are subject to change and are confirmed at the time of signing a contract for accommodation.

The advance payment option - refers to credit card. Please note that Visa and Mastercard are the only credit cards that we accept if you choose this option.

Fees for a room

Advance payment full year (38 weeks): $8455.00
Advance payment one semester (18 weeks): $4230.00
Instalment payment full year (38 weeks): $8740.00
Instalment payment one semester (18 weeks): $4365.00

Note: the fees for 1 semester will be 50% of the full-year total for an 18-week contract.

Additional fees

These costs are to be paid in full, in advance of occupancy.

• A one off placement fee of $155 (non refundable)
• An events/activities fee of $110 ($55 per semester)
• A bond of $400 (refundable)
• Changes to contract fee of $110 (if applicable)
• Extension of contract administration fee of $110
• Linen and bedding (optional) fee of $125
• Car parking (optional) fee of $165 per semester

Note: AUT will provide the following as part of the Accommodation Contract: water; and electricity to the value of $400 per semester per apartment.
