Fulbright New Zealand offers a range of prestigious exchange awards for New Zealand and American graduate students, academics, artists and professionals to study, research, teach or present their work in each other’s countries. Other awards allow institutions to apply for a visiting Fulbright specialist to assist with their development needs.
Most, but not all, Fulbright awards close on 1 August each year for travel the following year.
The AUT community includes a number of people who have had benefitted from a Fulbright programme. Amongst them are Ineke Crezee and Sharyn Graham Davies
Ineke Crezee is a Senior Lecturer in Interpreting and Translation in the School of Language and Culture at AUT. Ineke was a Fulbright New Zealand Scholar award recipient (Public Health) in 2014 and visited the Center for Diversity and Health Equity at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Monterey Institute of International Studies.
Sharyn Davies is Associate Professor in the School of Social Sciences and Public Policy at AUT. Sharyn was a Fulbright travel award recipient in 2014 and visited Yale, Columbia and New York University.
Ineke and Sharyn are keen to have more people at AUT, both students and staff, apply for Fulbright awards and enjoy the experiences the programme offers. They look forward to discussing opportunities with you.
