Māori Education Trust Scholarships
The Māori Education Trust is financed from private bequests and trusts set up from individuals or businesses. A primary function of the Trust is to provide and administer scholarships in education for Māori students. In addition to MET funded awards, the trust is also contracted to administer scholarships on behalf of the Ministry of Education and other agencies. Hortresearch Nga Toa Ngaki Kai Postgraduate Scholarship for Māori Students
Nga Toa Ngaki Kai – HortResearch’s network of Māori staff - is offering a scholarship to a highly capable student of Māori descent to complete a Masters degree in a scientific or engineering discipline relevant to HortResearch’s work.

Wairakei Charitable Trust
The Trust will make available an annual Wairakei-Tauhara Hapu tertiary education scholarship of $2500 to encourage and upskill Nga Hapu members in tertiary education. The tertiary education scholarship has a special emphasis on (but not limited to) the area of natural resource management.
