Postgraduate Scholarships
Doctoral Fee Scholarship (Applied Humanities)
The purpose of these two annual awards is to support high achieving domestic students into doctoral study in the Faculty of Applied Humanities.

The purpose of the Doctoral Scholarship in Montessori Education is to encourage and stimulate doctoral studies in the field of Montessori education and Montessori teacher education.

Masters Scholarship (Hospitality and Tourism)
The purpose of this scholarship is to reward students academic excellence and to support and encourage postgraduate study in Hospitality Management and Tourism Studies.

Master of International Hospitality Management
The purpose of this scholarship is to support and encourage hospitality managers undertaking part time study in a Master of International Hospitality Management.
Amount Awarded - The scholarship covers the full tuition and student services fee. The scholarship does not include the Students’ Association fee. In 2010 there is the equivalent of one full-time scholarship offered in semester two (two part-time scholarships).
Closing Date - For semester Two enrolment – 12th June 2010

The purpose of this scholarship is to support and encourage hospitality managers undertaking part time study in a Master of International Hospitality Management.
Amount Awarded - The scholarship covers the full tuition and student services fee. The scholarship does not include the Students’ Association fee. In 2010 there is the equivalent of one full-time scholarship offered in semester two (two part-time scholarships).

The purpose of this scholarship is to reward student leadership qualities and academic excellence and to also encourage and support students to pursue tertiary education in the area of Hospitality and Tourism.

Excellence and Equity Scholarship in English Language
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist refugees and other students who are financially disadvantaged and who meet the criteria to continue their language study by providing financial assistance for a further semester.

The purpose of this scholarship is to increase the numbers of qualified career development practitioners from Maori and Pasifika backgrounds.
Amount Awarded - The scholarship covers the fees for one paper in the Graduate Diploma in Career Development (including tuition fee, student services fee, Students Association and $50 material fees)

NZSL Scholarship (NZ Sign Language)
The Ministry of Economic Development have funded scholarships to support students who want to become qualified NZSL interpreters, and to contribute to building a qualified national NZSL interpreter workforce to staff a potential future Video Relay Service.
