Overdue fees - domestic students

It’s AUT University’s policy that all students must pay their fees in full before attending class.

If the payment date of your invoice has passed, and you have not paid in full, you will receive reminders from Registry Services. Penalties for non-payment may involve the suspension of University services, a late penalty fee of $100.00, and the referral of your debt to a debt collection agency (which may also incur additional fees).

Additionally, the University reserves the right to withhold your final academic results and you won’t be eligible to receive your qualification until outstanding fees and any other charges are paid in full.

Financial assistance

If you think you might have trouble meeting your fee payment deadlines or you’re unsure whether you can meet the financial demands of tertiary study, you should contact the Student Information Centre in the first instance.Staff will be able to help you with StudyLink issues. Please note that the University does not accept instalment arrangements. Your fees must be paid by the due date noted on the invoice.

You can also talk with Student Financial Services advisors - a dedicated team who offer free assistance regarding all money matters including budgeting advice and information on emergency loans and grants.

For Student Information Centre and Student Financial Services details, see contact information.
