2012 fees for domestic undergraduate students at AUT University: tuition and other charges

All domestic undergraduate students must pay tuition fees and (except distance-learning students) a student sevices fee. You also pay a student association fee. This page lists these fees and other costs.

Tuition fees for domestic undergraduate students

The compulsory tuition fee for a year of full-time study is:

  • $4975 (GST incl) to $5,353 (GST incl) for 120 points
  • The amount you pay within this range depends on the combination of papers you study in your degree or other course
  • Part-time students pay a proportion of the full-time fee

Courses for which you must pay undergraduate tuition fees

You must pay undergraduate tuition fees if you are enrolled in any of the following programmes at AUT University:
  • Certificate
  • Diploma
  • Bachelors degree
  • Graduate diploma
  • Graduate certificate

2012 Compulsory Student Services Fee: for services and building use

  • 2012 Student Service Fee - $442 for 120 points or $3.69 per academic point (GST incl)
  • 2012 Building Levy - $58 for 120 points or $0.48 per academic point (GST incl)

Distance-learning students are exempt from the Student Services Fee because they do not use the campus services and facilities.
