AUT's Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences offers undergraduate study options in:

Health

AUT health science staff and students contribute to advancing understanding of human behaviour, biological and environmental processes, wellness, illness and disability in society. Our programmes are underpinned by an interprofessional model of health care – preparing the country’s future health professionals to work consultatively across different disciplines such as physiotherapy, nursing, podiatry and occupational therapy. As of 2014, students are now also able to gain a Bachelor of Health Science degree at AUT's South Campus in the following study areas: Counselling, Health Promotion, Midwifery and Paramedicine.

Sciences

The science programmes at the Faculty of Health and Environmental Studies are developed with workforce partners and underpinned by world-leading research. We offer a wide scope of study opportunities in both unique and traditional areas of science, including marine biology, medical laboratory science, aquaculture, cetacean research, geographic information systems (GIS), food science, conservation and evolutionary biology, environmental and health protection, molecular biology and genetics, analytical chemistry and microbiology.
