Research Associates

The Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences has a number of Research Associates. The purpose of the Research Associate position is to promote cooperation and collaboration with external researchers in affiliated disciplines. Unlike a regular academic employee within the faculty, most associates are not affiliated with the faculty, but with another faculty at AUT or another university or organisation either within New Zealand or abroad. Associates are expected to contribute positively to the research climate of the faculty.

Our current Research Associates are:

Health and Rehabilitation Research Institute (HRRI)

National Institute for Stroke and Applied Neurosciences (NISAN)

Sports Performance Research Institute New Zealand

School of Public Health and Psychosocial Studies

  • Dr Maria Theresia Humphries-Kil
  • Dr Pernile Melia Christensen, Counties Manukau District Health Board
