Application closing dates for international students wishing to study at AUT University
Application for enrolment deadlines for international students wishing to study at AUT University. Dates are based on whether you require a visitor visa to enter New Zealand.
July 2012 (Semester 2) study
We must receive your application to study at AUT by:
- 28 May 2012 - if you require a visitor visa to enter New Zealand
- 15 June 2012 - if you are from a visitor visa-free country
February 2013 (Semester 1) study
We must receive your application to study at AUT by:
- 14 December 2012 - if you require a visitor visa to enter New Zealand
- 25 January 2013 - if you are from a visitor visa-free country
Apply early
We recommend that you apply as early as possible so that you have plenty of time to arrange your visa(s), fee payment, travel and accommodation.
Late applications
Applications from non-visa-free countries arriving after these dates will automatically be processed for the following intake, and you will be advised accordingly.Applications from visa free countries arriving after these dates will be processed if places are available in the programme. If there are no places available in the programme the application will automatically be processed for the following intake and you will be advised accordingly.
International applicants living in New Zealand
If you are living in New Zealand and hold a current student visa, your application will be accepted and processed up to the start of the semester if places are available in the programme.
Student visas
If you are coming to New Zealand to study for more than 3 months, you will need a student visa or permit.
