Also referred to as teaching - secondary and tertiary, education - secondary and tertiary, tertiary teaching

AUT secondary teaching graduates are in demand. The integration of theory and practice ensures they are able to apply the principles of effective learning and teaching in the classroom.

Tertiary teaching graduates are skilled in designing learning curriculums that promote flexibility, reflection, collaboration and critical inquiry in adult learning.

Our education department offers postgraduate coursework and research degrees that cover teacher education and areas beyond the classroom, such as:

  • Education leadership
  • Career development
