Midwifery at AUT University: an overview
AUT has the only university midwifery department north of Waikato. We offer our degrees and qualifications on North Shore and Manukau campuses, and at satellite centres in Northland, Taranaki and Middlemore Hospital.
We maintain close links with independent midwives, hospital managers and midwifery clients who offer advice and feedback. AUT's programmes are accredited through the Midwifery Council of New Zealand. Expertise from our Centre for Midwifery and Women's Health Research informs continual improvement in our teaching.

The centre is the research arm of the School of Midwifery and is guided by an external advisory group.
