Dance theory and practice lay the foundation for entry into the dance industry both nationally and internationally. Postgraduate research opportunities and an AUT dance company offer further choreographic research and performance opportunities.

Postgraduate and staff research includes areas such as choreography, dance on film, dance education, writing dance, dance for special populations, dance in the community, interdisciplinary approaches and dance therapy.
