Welcome to Te Tari Āwhina - The Learning Development Centre.  The place to go if you want to fulfil your academic potential!

Our services on both the City and the North Shore campuses include:

  • One-to-one or small group tuition at appointed times convenient to you - see our Staff Directory to email staff direct about an appointment.
  • FREE KEYS to Success papers - Click here for the KEYS courses that are coming up 
  • Daily drop-ins for on-the-spot tuition in learning skills and study support See the current timetable
  • In-class learning support sessions by request of staff phone 921 9840 or email awhina@aut.ac.nz
  • Self-Access Learning Labs in the libraries at both campuses with workbooks, tapes and DVDs to help you improve in English, Te Reo Māori and maths. Read more here

The team at Te Tari Āwhina includes Māori, Pākehā and Pasifika staff and offers free services to all AUT students and staff. Support is available at one of our Drop In Centres or by phoning 921 9840 or emailing awhina@aut.ac.nz
