17th Nursing Network on Violence Against Women International Conference, 16-18 February 2011, Auckland, New Zealand.
The abuse and exploitation of women is a social problem of epidemic proportions which adversely affects the health of millions of women each year. Substantial progress has been made in raising awareness about violence against women and children, yet the complexity of violence begs collaborative partnerships and innovations to create social change. This conference provided the opportunity for all engaged in stopping violence internationally to come together and share knowledge, experience and innovations.
