Dr Mark Boocock leads a team involved in work place safety with a focus upon the prevention of injury. His work has mostly been funded by the Accident Compensation Corporation and involved systematic reviews related to overuse injuries in the work place, including risk factors and intervention strategies to revise the current New Zealand Code of Practice for reducing work-related injury amongst computer operators. Dr Boocock is also undertaking biomechanical studies that are examining loads on the human body arising from different workplace stations and their potential to cause injury.
