Facilities and Equipment
The Institute has invested considerable funds in the development and purchase of new technology and equipment. This equipment is available for staff and postgraduate use in their research programmes, and for our commercial work.
Rental of some of this equipment is possible, although some conditions may apply; contact us here to discuss your requirements.

In addition, the Institute has access to the full range of scientific sampling and analytical equipment in the School of Applied Sciences.
The Institute also can provide fully qualified scientific divers, and launchmasters, to enable you to conduct your marine research in a safe and legal manner.
The Institute is currently exploring options for purchase of a larger, offshore capable research vessel that we will enable our staff, associates and postgraduate students to conduct marine research further offshore than our current facilities permit.
