Research at AUT

2016 Research & Innovation Showcase: Transformational Digital Futures

In the 16 years since it became a university, AUT has made impressive strides in developing its research capabilities. AUT is progressing rapidly towards its two key research goals: creating a vibrant learning community through research, and growing national and international research impact.

Research at AUT: Drivers

As AUT works to advance research success it is focusing on:
  • Producing research that matters
  • Growing research partnerships
  • Increasing collaboration with industry
  • Attracting research funding
  • Building a culture of research excellence
  • Encouraging commercialisation of research; and
  • Strengthening research infrastructure and modernising research facilities

Research that matters

The research activities within each of AUT’s five faculties are overseen by an Associate Dean of Research who works closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor Research, Innovation and Enterprise. We encourage you to explore the broad suite of research activities in each of the five AUT faculties.
