Fashion designers are in charge of developing future trends, styles, accessories and even fabrics that can enhance a brand image. It's the cutting edge of global, wearable messaging.
An art director will usual oversee all design developed for a business. Setting parameters from layout to colour, to typeface and even imagery style. It's a powerful role requiring solid leadership and vision.
Nothing sells like cool. Form and function rule the world and a marketer's dream product is one that looks beautiful and works superbly. Product designers see things differently – they see them better.

A love for design has always driven Anzac Tasker. Wanting to follow his
passion as well as find a career with security, he decided to pursue a
Bachelor of Design and then move to the Bachelor of Art and Design (Honours).
"It's hard to do well in anything without understanding the basics. AUT provided me with a concrete foundation for my design career. The guidance I received and there sources and facilities on offer helped me to develop a well-rounded design portfolio."
Having impressed the creative director of Design works with his portfolio, Anzac got a job at the established Auckland design agency. "I am fortunate to be working with some of New Zealand's top graphic designers on a wicked client list including companies like Air New Zealand, DB Breweries and Telecom as well as doing my own freelance work."
