articlelinker
articlelinker is a linking system between citations and the online full text of articles. When you search an AUT Library database an articlelinker icon will display for each search result.
- Click on the articlelinker icon. Another screen will open with links to any available online full text.
- Click on a link to full text. A third screen will open allowing you to access the full text.
- You can return to your original search results by closing the articlelinker and full text windows that have opened.
1. Search a database and click on the articlelinker icon if there are no other full text options.
2. Click on a link to full text.
3. You will be taken to the article page from where you can view full text.
Please note that there are a few databases that are not yet compatible with articlelinker e.g. Index New Zealand (INNZ), Leisure Recreation and Tourism Abstracts and Linguistics Abstracts Online.
You will see the articlelinker image appear in many databases as well as in Google Scholar. Clicking on the articlelinker image opens a new window which provides you with options for accessing the full text of a citation. You may be able to connect to the full text in another database or electronic journal provider, or run a search of the AUT Library catalogue to check if the journal is held in print.
