APNNA: Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly

APNNAAsia Pacific Neural Network AssemblySince its establishment in 1993, the Asia Pacific Neural Network Assembly (APNNA) has grown to become one of the major organisations in Asia, the Pacific and also World-wide in intelligent systems and more specifically - in neuro-information processing, neuro-computation, neuro-engineering and brain study. APNNA has a variety of activities that attract every year hundreds of researchers, practitioners and graduate students. They include: * An annual conference on neuro-information processing ICONIP, with its coming edition ICONIP 2008 in Auckland New Zealand, 24-28 November 2008 * A Journal “Neuro-Information Processing – Letters and Reviews” * APNNA annual awards: “Excellent Service”; “Outstanding Achievement”; “APNNA Young Researcher Award”; “Best Student Paper Award” * Scholarships for students to attend the ICONIP conferences * Active communication with other organisations in the area, such as the International Neural Network Society (INNS), the Japanese Neural Network Society (JNNS), the European Neural Network Society (ENNS), relevant IEEE Societies and especially with the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society * Updated news distribution through the APNNA web site Through its activities APNNA fosters advancement of knowledge and education and invites researchers, practitioners and graduate students to join the ICONIP 2008 conference and the other APPNA activities. APNNA has an open membership policy. Every participant of an ICONIP conference becomes automatically an APNNA member for an year and is entitled for a reduced fee at the next ICONIP conference, for an electronic copy of the journal and for all other benefits of being an APNNA member.
