How to choose a programme of study

Choosing the right programme of study is very important and we realise it can be a difficult decision to make. That's why we have a range of services to help you.

  • Study areas
If you're just starting out in the decision making process, you should go to the study areas section of this site for an overview by subject. You can read about the qualifications we offer, various programmes of study, papers you'll have to take and the learning environment at each school.

  • Student Centre
AUT Student Centre staff can provide you with friendly, helpful information about AUT programmes to put you on the right track.

  • Pasifika Student Advisors
Pasifika Student Advisors are the friendly people who you can talk to about anything. If they can’t help you, they will find the right people who can. You can contact the Pasifika Student Support Service by phone or email or drop in and see them if you want to make an appointment.

  • University Career Services
If you can’t decide which programme will be best for you, you can make an appointment with AUT University Career Services. Trained and qualified Career Consultants will be able to help you with the career and programme decisions you need to make. To obtain a referral to an AUT Career Consultant, contact the Student Centre.

  • Course Information Evenings
AUT University Course Information Evenings are an opportunity for you and your family to learn more about the structure and content of AUT's programmes, including study levels and pathways, entry requirements and career opportunities.
