Pacific student support

AUT offers support for our diverse Pacific communities through the Student Hub. Whether you need cultural support, help with your studies, or just a new ID card, the friendly Student Hub Advisors will help you.

Here are useful links to provide support and a sense of community here at AUT:

iMAPS (Inspiring Maori and Pasifika Success)

iMAPS offers weekly study sessions that provide academic and pastoral support for students. First-year students who attend are assisted by highly successful second and third-year peer leaders.

Student Learning

AUT's Student Learning team offers a range of services, resources and information for Pacific students.

Pacific Fono rooms

We have a number of Fono rooms on campus for Pacific students at AUT, which you are welcome to use for studying, group assignments or just relaxing.

Māori and Pasifika Postgraduate Student Wananga Series

The aim of the Wānanga series is to build a culture of support for AUT Māori and Pasifika Postgraduate students across the entire University and to foster a network of collaboration to support these students through their higher degree journey.

Talanoa Series

The Talanoa series is a seminar series for Pacific Postgraduate students from universities all over New Zealand to come together fortnightly and present their Postgraduate research with time allowed for questions and discussion.
