Tuvalu language week

Tuvalu language week gives us at AUT a great reason to celebrate all things Tuvaluan.

In 2016 at AUT, we used Pacific language weeks to discuss and promote the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). For Tuvalu language week, we shaped our conversation around SDG 13: Climate Action.

Sarai Tufala - Doctor of Philosophy student

"What I am trying to say here is that Tuvaluans are facing the worst predicament ever, the deplorable adverse effects of climate change, and instead of inaction waiting for the government and global big powers to do something about it, we individually can stand up to the challenge by alerting awareness of the problem and be an active participant in the fight against climate change."
