AUT is currently involved in a wide range of activities and projects, including:

AUT USA Rugby project
AUT has partnered with USA Rugby to develop the AUT USA Rugby Fund and its scholarship programme to bring USA high school students to New Zealand. The programme started in 2009 and immersed the scholarship winners in various levels of New Zealand rugby and education. Read more about this rugby project and the AUT USA Rugby scholarships.
- Encouraging and rewarding student enterprise and entrepreneurship
AUT gives its graduates an edge because it encourages students to exercise thought leadership and realise business opportunities from the moment they set foot on campus. AUT has launched the AUT Venture Fund to reward the entrepreneurship of its students by granting seed money to the successful applicant(s) and facilitating mentoring from business leaders and academic staff. - Seddon Memorial Technical College scholarships
Scholarships are an incentive for academic excellence and remove financial barriers to university study. Seddon Memorial Technical College is the founding educational institution from which AUT emerged and the scholarships are a great way of recognising AUT’s heritage.
