Living in New Zealand

Living in NZ
Getting used to new ways of living and doing things in New Zealand can be challenging for many of our students from migrant and refugee-backgrounds. Some settle in quickly while others take longer to adapt. It is perfectly normal to experience culture shock and go through a range of emotions when you are adjusting to a new country, while not having the usual access to your networks of friends and family.
Don't worry; you don’t need to go through this alone - there are many community groups and government organisations you can reach out to for assistance and settlement support. This page lists useful resources and services for students from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
