Ngapuhi, Te Rarawa
Ana is not only practising her passion, she is passing on her knowledge to future generations. When she is not teaching, she is building her fashion design business.
Ana was already a fully trained kura kaupapa teacher when her whanau encouraged her to take on the world of fashion and study at AUT.
She graduated not only with a Bachelors of Art & Design but a Te Ara Poutama Certificate in Māori Art & Design.
In just a few years Ana has literally made a name for herself, with her own design label, and a growing fashion business. Now Ana’s designs are exclusive: usually one-offs for celebrities, TV personalities, her whanau, and people who’ve come to know her through word of mouth.
