The Auckland University of Technology Alumni Association Incorporated, often abbreviated to the Alumni Association, is a society which was incorporated in 1995 with a mission to preserve, promote and foster the goodwill and interest of past and present students and staff of the University.

Although part of the Alumni Network, the association is an independent organisation run by a board which is elected annually. Membership of the Association is by application to the Board and the annual membership fee is $30.00.

The President since 2005 is Mr. David Cave and Dame Thea Muldoon continues to be patron.

The association is active in raising funds for scholarships and each year awards the AUT Alumni Association Scholarship for Continuing Education. This scholarship is for alumni who wish to follow postgraduate study. Funds are raised primarily from the sales of the graduation bear and through profit sharing agreements with the graduation photographer and certificate framing company.

An additional fund has recently been established, the Seddon Memorial Trust Fund, which is in recognition of our most senior group of alumni, former students of the Seddon Memorial Technical College. This group meets at least annually, for an afternoon tea, supported by the Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Relations.
