Orientation sessions for specific student groups
As part of Orientation, AUT offers Tertiary Readiness Programmes and information sessions for specific groups, as well as international orientation. We recognise that our students have very different backgrounds, experiences and needs - and your introduction to university life needs to reflect this. Our orientation session for specific student groups provide a starting point relevant to your culture or background, as well as information about key student support services and a chance to meet AUT staff and other new students. These sessions are in addition to the Getting Started and Study Smart programmes for all new AUT students.
AUT offers orientation sessions for these specific student groups:
- Māori students
- Pasifika students
- International students
- Chinese students
- LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) students
- Athletes
Students with disabilities: AUT aims to deliver workshops that are accessible in terms of venue, course content and delivery. If you have an impairment or specific needs, please contact the workshop organiser or Disability Student Support
