City Campus accommodation: Wellesley Student Apartments

Wellesley Student Apartments offer shared apartment living on AUT's City Campus.

Apartment style living

Wellesley Student Apartments are self-catered and located in a 13-storey building, housing 502 residents. 

The apartments are a 5-minute walk to the City Campus. 

  • Single gender, mixed gender, gay friendly, and faculty-based apartments are available
  • Common areas are alcohol free 
  • There are allocated residential assistants (peer mentor, senior residents) 
  • Wheelchair access
  • Bike racks
  • Smokefree

Bedrooms 

There are 3 sizes of bedroom:

  1. Small (2.6m x 2.5m)
  2. Standard (3.2m x 2.5m)
  3. Large (4m x 3.4m)

Each apartment has 4 or 5 bedrooms. Each room contains:

  • King single size bed (single size in small rooms) 
  • Desk and office chair
  • Wardrobe
  • Book shelf
  • Wall-mounted, heated towel rail

Bathrooms

There are 2 bathrooms in each apartment. Each contains:

  • Shower
  • Toilet
  • Hand basin

Kitchen facilities

Apartments are self-catered and contain:

  • Cooking equipment basics
  • Dinnerware
  • Cutlery 
  • Kettle
  • Toaster 
  • Food storage shelf 
  • Fridge/freezer 
  • Combined oven/microwave 
  • Stove top/hob 

There are free 'study feeds' and free food events throughout the year.

Lounge and dining areas

Each apartment has an open plan lounge/dining area with:

  • TV 
  • Lounge chairs 
  • Dining room table and chairs 

Laundry facilities

You are responsible for washing your own clothes and bed linen. There is a coin-operated laundry on site. 

You can buy a linen pack pack (2 sheets, duvet and cover, pillow and pillow case and a towel).

Security in the Wellesley Student Apartments includes:
