AUT's Student Learning Centre (formerly known as Learning Development & Success: Te Tari Āwhina) provides free academic support to help you excel and achieve better grades. If you are struggling with an assignment, essay or paper we offer a range of resources on essay writing, referencing, time management, exam preparation and how to study effectively. We also hold free workshops throughout the year to help you achieve the best possible grades. We offer a range of free seminars and workshops to help you excel at AUT. There are plenty of opportunities to develop your study skills – from Orientation workshops to StudySmart programmes throughout the year.
Find helpful pdfs and video tutorials to help with writing, referencing, note taking and exam preparation.
Our peer tutoring programme can put you in touch with a senior student who tutors you in a specific subject. You could also join a study group or work with a learning mentor who can provide general learning and social support.
Our Student Learning staff are committed to providing effective specialised services for Māori and Pasifika students at AUT.
