AUT University is delighted that you are joining us to begin your academic journey with the third largest and fastest growing University in New Zealand. Our mission is to foster excellence, equity and ethics in learning, teaching, research and scholarship, and in so doing serve our regional, national and international communities.

This area is for you if you’re undertaking a certificate, diploma, bachelors degree, graduate certificate or graduate diploma. You’ll find information to help you prepare for your journey and support you once you arrive at AUT University.

    Before you arrive at AUT you can familiarise yourself with some of the University’s processes and services. Have a look at the pre-arrival checklist to make sure you’re fully prepared for a successful start.
  • Fees, scholarships and finance
    This section offers information about fees, scholarship opportunities, working while you study, financial aid information and who to contact if you need financial advice.
  • IT information
    This section covers all the IT resources available to you while you study.
  • AUTonline
    AUTonline is the flexible learning system provided by AUT. It supports students' and lecturers’ learning and teaching in a way that best meets their needs of time, place and learning effectiveness.
  • UniCentral support
    UniCentral is a portal delivering instant access to the following services.
  • Accommodation
    Learn about AUT’s campus accommodation and the other accommodation options you can consider as you study here.
  • Orientation
    Find out about General Orientation where you’ll gain information about your programme, faculty, Library and IT training, Student Mentors and student services. Learn about social orientation as well.
  • Academic information
    This section covers academic policies and regulations, what’s expected of you as a student, Getting Started workshops and seminars and the services available if you need academic support.
  • Your health and wellbeing
    AUT has a variety of health and wellbeing services and resources. Find out about medical, counselling, spiritual and mental health services, sport and fitness, and how to stay safe on campus.
  • Getting to and around campus
    Access maps and features of AUT’s campuses, a room numbering guide, and public transport, driving and parking information.

  • Opportunities to study overseas
    Learn about AUT’s Student Exchange programme that gives you the opportunity to study for one or two semesters on exchange with AUT’s many university partners around the globe and cross-credit your grades back to your AUT degree.
