If you feel harassed or bullied, it’s best to speak out rather than stay silent. This page outlines steps you can take, including talking to 1 of our harassment prevention staff members.

Steps you can take if you are being harassed or bullied

Harassment and bullying are in many forms

The behaviour may be:

  • face to face
  • electronic
  • by telephone (particularly mobile texts or SMS)
  • in pictures

Supported self help: harassment prevention programme

The programme aims to help you with concerns and complaints. Harassment prevention contacts can help you resolve your problem confidentially at a low level. This is called supported self help which means that you can:

  • discuss the issue confidentially
  • consider options that you might not know about
  • find a way to resolve your issue without others being involved
