School and community partnership

AUT University’s school and community partnership programme gives secondary students the opportunity to benefit from scholarships that are offered by AUT partner organisations and secondary schools.

The purpose of these scholarships is to:
  • Recognise, reward and encourage excellence in school and community activities
  • Provide a tangible and beneficial expression of AUT's commitment to, and partnership with, the wider education community
  • Provide the opportunity for the business community to help in developing our leaders and innovators of the future
All applicants are to be nominated through their school or partner organisation.

Please note: these scholarships are only offered through our partner organisations and secondary schools in the Auckland region. Recipients are nominated by the organisation or school.

Most Valuable Person

Recipients are to be nominated by their sports organisation. Queries should be referred to Bruce Meyer, AUT Sport Development & Athlete Support Manager. Email  bruce.meyer@aut.ac.nz.

Most Valuable Person Scholarships
The purpose of the AUT Most Valuable Person Scholarships is to reward leadership, excellence and commitment to sport in all areas and encourage and support students to pursue tertiary education.

Significant Student Scholarships
The purpose of the AUT Significant Student Scholarships is to reward student achievement on the basis of leadership excellence demonstrated at secondary school, in the community, cultural or sporting activities at secondary schools in the wider Auckland Region.
