What do I do if I can’t sit a test or an exam?
At some point in your study, for reasons outside your control, you may not be able to sit an exam that has been scheduled. If this happens, it is important that you contact your lecturer, programme leader or programme administrator and let them know as soon as possible, or at least within 14 days of the date of the exam. They will advise you about what to do in this situation.
If you don’t have a valid reason for missing the exam, or have not notified the teaching department within the required time, you will receive a failing grade for your examination.
It is also a good idea to talk to a Student Advisor for assistance. Find out more about
