This page explains how Learning Development and Success: Te Tari Awhina can assist academic staff at AUT University.
  • Contact one of our staff to present KEYS to Academic Success workshops or particular academic skills sessions for programmes or classes during normal class times, or at other prearranged times
  • We can also present an introductory session about our services to programmes or classes
  • We are happy to collaborate with staff in providing academic learning support to students for particular assessment tasks
  • We can advise staff on ways to meet the learning needs of particular students or groups of students
  • We are able to inform staff of the availability of resource materials relating to student learning support
Listed below are examples that illustrate the way in which our staff work across AUT University and within faculties to deliver academic learning support to AUT students.

KEYS courses taught within programmes

  • KEYS to Academic Writing Success taught within the Early Childhood and Primary Teaching degrees and within the core first year Health Science paper - Knowledge, Inquiry and Communication
  • KEYS to Postgraduate Writing Success taught within the Master of Education degree

Academic workshops delivered within programmes

  • APA referencing workshops delivered within the Bachelor of Business degree
  • Oral presentation workshops taught to co-op students
  • Academic skills workshops delivered to Māori Business students
  • Academic skills workshops delivered to Pasifika Hospitality students

AUT wide

  • We can present informercials during University Orientation and also to first year programmes across faculties
