

AUT University is New Zealand’s leading sports university. The University has state of the art sports facilities on the North Shore Campus and a gym on the City Campus which all students can join.
AUT provides support for athlete students who are working towards a competitive sports career and balancing an academic education at the same time. AUT hosts an annual sports awards dinner for athletes who competed for their regional and national teams. This dinner is known as the AUT Blue Awards. Major awards for this event include AUT Sportsman of the Year, AUT Sportswoman of the Year and the AUT Athlete of the Year. The AUT student association (AuSM) provides a comprehensive sporting programme and funds a range of clubs. You can get involved in free social sport sessions, competitive internal tournaments and inter-university tournaments - including the annual New Zealand University games.
