What does it cost?

hcw body mind spiritHere’s an overview of the costs for doctor and nurse services at AUT’s Health, Counselling and Wellbeing centres.

Domestic students

Domestic students who choose to enrol with us as their primary health provider can have routine doctor and nurse consultations for FREE.

Casual students

Casual students can see us for medical and nursing services but will pay a higher fee.

International students

International students can see us for medical and nursing services. If you have AUT Studentsafe University insurance and your medical condition is covered by your policy, we can bill your insurer directly.

Staff

AUT staff can see us for medical and nursing services. Staff who choose not to register with us will pay a higher fee.

Domestic student enrolled with us as GP

FREE doctor and nurse
Casual or international student $15.00 nurse; $40.00 doctor
Staff enrolled $10.00 nurse; $17.00 doctor
Staff casual $22.00 nurse; $60.00 doctor

Some sexual health services are free for all patients under 25 years of age who agree to be screened for Chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease. The emergency contraceptive pill is free for all female students.

Payment policy


All consultations are to be paid on the day of your appointment. Our centres accept cash, cheques and have Eftpos facilities. MasterCard and Visa payments are accepted. Outstanding debts will be sent to Registry Services and if the account remains unpaid, academic results may be withheld.
