Travel by bus
Almost half of AUT's students take the bus to university every day. The bus is an inexpensive option that gives you the chance to catch up on reading or just relax while someone else does the driving.
All of Auckland's major bus routes have stops near AUT's City Campus. Both the North Shore Campus and Manukau Campus are also within easy access of public transport.
Full-time tertiary students are eligible for a significant discount off bus fares. In order to buy discount tickets, you must have a valid AUT student ID card with a MAXX student ID sticker applied. You will have to show your ID card and sticker on the bus.
You can get your MAXX student ID sticker and bus tickets from your AuSM office:
City Campus (WC204): Monday - Thursday, 8am - 6pm, Friday 8am - 3.30pm
North Shore Campus (AS212): Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm
AuSM also sells adult fare tickets (if you’re a part-time student).

AUT Shuttle Bus
The AUT Shuttle Bus runs daily from the North Shore Campus to the City Campus (Mayoral Drive) and also to the Manukau Campus on a more limited basis.
Shuttle tickets vary in price from $2.50 for a 1-ride ticket to $44 for a 30-ride ticket. Tickets and timetables are available from:
