Blackboard is the flexible learning system provided by AUT. It supports students’ and lecturers’ learning and teaching in a way that best meets their needs of time, place and learning effectiveness.

All queries relating to the use of Blackboard should be logged with the ICT Service Desk, which will then be forwarded to the appropriate member of the Blackboard support team.

Blackboard is a learning management system commonly used in New Zealand and Australian universities. From 2009, all papers at AUT will have an Blackboard component, although the extent to which this is used is dependent on individual lecturers and programme development.

Login names and passwords are the same as they are for logging onto the network.
Supporting Blackboard is the Flexible Learning Advisory Team, providing services and support for administration, programme development and strategic direction.
