Doctoral and Master of Philosophy approval process
Once an application form is completed in consultation with the supervisor(s) it is sent to the faculty postgraduate office to be considered by the Faculty Postgraduate Board. If the application is approved it will be sent to the University Postgraduate Centre for consideration by the University Postgraduate Board.
If the application is not approved by the Faculty Postgraduate Board, the faculty postgraduate office will contact the candidate and/or supervisor(s) regarding the Board’s decision.
Correspondence concerning the decision of the University Postgraduate Board will be sent by the University Postgraduate Centre.
All forms are available from the faculty postgraduate office, or can be downloaded from
doctoral forms.
Master of Philosophy students should complete the masters forms which can be downloaded from postgraduate forms.
Masters approval process

Applications for exemptions from normal University regulations/processes will be forwarded to the University Postgraduate Board for consideration. Notification of the outcome will be sent to the student and/or supervisor by the University Postgraduate Centre.
