The central seminar series provides an opportunity for postgraduate students to improve their research skills. A variety of workshops, activities and events are available to you depending on what you need help with and at which stage you are at in your research.

Graduate Research School (GRS)
The GRS works in collaboration with AUT academic staff members and support service areas with providing workshops to enhancing your research skills.

Student Learning Advisor's coordinate a series of thesis writing workshops towards managing your postgraduate journey and to develop your skills that are fundamental for student success.

An opportunity for new and existing postgraduate and doctoral students, academic supervisors and staff members to network and engage in conversation over drinks and nibbles. This event is offered throughout the year.

An annual event for postgraduate and doctoral students to network and engage in a variety of activities and workshops offered. This includes the Postgraduate Research Symposium and entertaining Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.

Doctoral study is a significant commitment you have made and we want to guide you in reaching your goals by providing a programme that includes helpful tools and tips for getting your research off to the best start.The inductions are held three times throughout the year.
Newly enrolled doctoral students will be emailed an invitation to attend.

AUT has a network of peer mentoring groups for postgraduate students. By joining a group, postgraduate research students can meet, connect and share ideas. There are groups on all campuses, and for a wide range of interests.
